Where our figures come from
Price changes over time come from the Consumer Price Index published by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, which measures what US consumers pay for the same kinds of goods year after year. List prices come from our own catalogue. We show where every number comes from and what it can and cannot tell you in our methodology.
