Woods Recalls: 3 CPSC Recalls Since 2010
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced 3 recalls involving Woods products since 2010, the most recent on July 2, 2020. A Better You! Recalls Belecoo Strollers Due to Violation of Federal Stroller and Carriage Safety Standard; Fall, Entrapment and Strangulation Hazards (Recall Alert)
Hazard: The recalled strollers violate the federal Carriages and Strollers standard. A child's torso can pass through the opening between the activity tray and the seat bottom and his/her head can become entrapped, posing entrapment and strangulation hazards. The location of the crotch restraint creates a large opening between the seat bottom and the restraint, and it can become detached, posing a fall hazard to children.
What was recalled: This recall involves Belecoo 535-S convertible baby strollers sold in black, pink, blue, khaki and gray colors. The strollers convert into carriages in the bassinet position. Belecoo is printed on the stroller's frame and on the shoulder straps. The model number 535-S is printed on a label on the inside of the rear frame of the stroller.
Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled baby stroller and contact A Better You! for instructions on how to receive a full refund including taxes and original shipping cost. The firm is contacting all known purchasers directly.
Sold at: Exclusively on Amazon.com from January 2019 through March 2020 for about $200.

John Deere Recalls Frontier Grooming Mowers Due to Entanglement Injury Hazard (Recall Alert)
Hazard: Incorrect assembly of the mower's drivelines can prevent the safety shield from spinning independently, posing an entanglement injury hazard to consumers.
What was recalled: This recall involves John Deere's Frontier-branded grooming mowers for use with compact utility tractors. "Frontier" and model FM3012, GM1060, GM1072, GM1084, GM1190, GM3060 or GM3072 are printed on the mower. Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled mowers and contact an authorized John Deere dealer for a free repair. John Deere is contacting all known purchasers directly.
Sold at: John Deere dealers nationwide from April 2018 through May 2019 for between $3,100 and $16,700.

SpeeCo® and Woods® Recall 4-Way Wedge Accessory for Log Splitters Due to Impact Injury Hazard
Hazard: The 4-way wedge accessory can loosen or detach from the log splitter during operation and strike an operator or bystander
What was recalled: This recall involves 4-way wedge accessories used on SpeeCo, CountyLine, Country Tuff, and Woods hydraulic log splitters. These log splitter accessories were sold under the SpeeCo and Woods brand names. The SpeeCo brand has model numbers 577483 and 581199. The Woods brand model is 581196. Brand names and model numbers are printed on the packaging.
Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled 4-way wedge accessory and return it to the place of purchase or contact SpeeCo or Woods for a full refund.
Sold at: Tractor Supply Company stores in the U.S. from July 2016 through January 2018 under the SpeeCo brand; Orscheln Farm & Home Stores in the U.S. from August 2017 through January 2018 under the SpeeCo brand and authorized Woods dealers in the U.S. and Canada from August 2017 through January 2018 under the Woods brand for about $70.
