Contigo Recalls: 3 CPSC Recalls Since 2010
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced 3 recalls involving Contigo products since 2010, the most recent on February 19, 2020. Each recall below shows what was recalled, the hazard, the model numbers and what to do. Always check the official notice: a recall can cover only some models, colours or production dates.

Contigo Reannounces Recall of 5.7 Million Kids Water Bottles Due to Choking Hazard; Additional Incidents with Replacement Lids Provided in Previous Recall
Hazard: The water bottle's clear silicone spout can detach, posing a choking hazard to children.
What was recalled: This recall involves Contigo Kids Cleanable water bottles and replacement lids that were given to consumers as part of the August 2019 recall of this product. The base and cover of the clear silicone spout will always be BLACK. Only black colored spout base and spout cover models are included in this recall. Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled water bottles and the replacement lids provided in the previous recall, take them away from children, and contact Contigo for a free water bottle. Consumers who received replacement lids in the previous recall should contact Contigo for the new water bottle.
Sold at: Costco, Walmart, Target and other stores nationwide and online on various websites from April 2018 through February 7, 2020 for between $9 and $24.

Contigo Recalls 5.7 Million Kids Water Bottles Due to Choking Hazard

Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled water bottles, take them away from children and contact Contigo for inspection instructions and a free replacement lid.

Ignite Recalls Kids Straw Tumblers Due to Risk of Ingestion
Hazard: If a child chews on the drinking straw, small pieces can break off into the child's mouth, posing a risk of ingestion or aspiration of the small part.
What was recalled: This recall includes eight different styles of plastic drinking tumblers. The tumblers were sold with a lid and a straw. Some of the straws have a plastic mold in the shape of fangs, lips, a mustache or a zipper affixed to the top. The tumblers are branded "Bueno by Contigo" on the retail packaging and "Bueno" on the lid of the cup. All cups have the number "036201" engraved on the bottom. Remedy: Consumers should immediately take the recalled tumblers from children and contact Ignite for a full refund.
Sold at: Meijer and Target retail stores nationwide from May 2015 through September 2015 for about $6.
